The Outpatient Department at EAGT Utemini dispensary offers clinical services to medical and/or minor surgeries to the patients of all age groups and bed rest. Our aim is to provide high-quality medical services with the help of the most advanced diagnosis and treatment methods while making the patient experience as smooth friendly services as possible. The Outpatient Department is having 3working consultations rooms. Our qualified staff attends approximately 4,000 patients per month. We are closely work as the team in all departments

INVESTIGATION. Laboratory

EAGT Utemini dispensary provides a basic laboratory testing including microbiology/immunology, parasitology and Hematology, the service which guarantee for request ordered by the doctors can be undertaken. The Department functions around the clock to provide high quality diagnostic services to assist in appropriate patient care. On average the department deals with different samples which include, blood, urine and stool. It serves approximately 2700 patient each month. Laboratory work closely with all departments.

DRUG DISPENSING. Pharmacy

In close collaboration with other departments, patients who need medical treatment get the drugs at EAGT UTEMINI DISPENSING (pharmacy) This including basic drugs (tracer medicine), all basic medication at the dispensary level, drugs for diabetes, high blood pressure and various other drugs.
We offer a friendly and timely service, since the patient needs to understand clearly how to use the medication prescribed. Sometimes we serve patients who have missed medication in other pharmacies around the city, from different hospitals in the city, will be given medication if they have a prescription from a recognized health facility or after consulting with our doctors. Our goals is to provide modern care for all patients.

SPECIAL CLINICS.

• Diabetes and Hypertension.

  Diabetes is a risk factor in heart disease. Yet it's possible to have hypertension also known as high blood pressure for many years without even having a symptom. The Diabetes and Hypertension consultation at EAGT Utemini offers the best services. We help and enlighting number of patients how to lower their blood pressure through medication and non medical approach. We tailor treatment to each patient, often helping patients to achieve lower blood pressure with fewer medications. We help patients identify diet and exercise that may help to lower blood pressure and improve health and energy levels. We take a holistic approach to our patients, looking at other conditions that impact their health such as diabetes. Through regular follow-ups, we fine tune treatment for the best results with the least medication, we serve about 144 hypertensive and diabetic patients in four scheduled visits in a month that is each patient have single visit per month

  EAGT Utemini dispensary services are becoming increasingly closer, friendlier for patients and their families. We have started a special clinic for medical care of the mouth and teeth by providing the following services

• Physiotherapy.

  The method of treatment of Diseases, Deformity, Injury of the Joint, Muscles and nerves by using Exercise, Electrotherapy and massage rather drugs.
  Physiotherapy deal with adult and children with neuromusculoskeletal problem and complications caused by diabetic and hypertension.
  Physiotherapist help people affected by Injury, illness or disability through movement exercise and advice., The purpose of physiotherapy is to maintain and promote good health to people with all age.

THE RCH CLINIC SERVICES. Reproductive and child health (RCH) Clinic.

EAGT Utemini dispensary Trust Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) Clinic opened in the late 2016. Is known for delivering compassionate care in a clean well-staffed facility thus EAGT Utemini dispensary is committed on helping to reduce the country's grim statistics on maternal and child mortality and morbidity per year (source: WHO): maternal deaths, 13,000; neonatal deaths, 45,000; and deaths among children under age five, 157,000. Tanzania's ongoing challenges to reduce mother/child mortality are: lack of infrastructure, poverty, disease and a shortage of qualified medical staff and services.
Under RCH clinic we provide

• • Maternal and perinatal care, including antenatal care, newborn and postpartum care.
• • Family planning services which includes counselling (individual, couple andDiscordant couples), natural family planning and artificial family planning (pills, implants, injectable and intrauterine contraceptive devices[IUCD])
• • Reproductive health education
• • Immunizations and well checks for children under age 5.
• • Diagnosis and management of sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS, including prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT).
• • Nutrition counseling for both expectant mothers and children.
• • Management of childhood diseases.

EAGT Utemini Dispensary operates under the guiding principle that "We Treat, GodHeals"- recognizing the ultimate importance of Jesus Christ in the physical and spiritual healing of our patients and their families. Although all staffs at EAGT Utemini Dispensary bear witness to the spiritual aspect of this holistic mission, the EAGT Utemini Chaplaincy spearheads this tremendously important work. Available to the patients and clients 24/7, chaplains share the Gospel and provide spiritual comfort, compassionate prayer and empathy at the patient bedside. and are available to provide psychological support to patients who may require such help. Chaplains not only provide care for patients, but they sit with the families of patients as well, both in times of joy and grief.
